Cosi is a 1996 Australian comedy-drama film directed by Mark Joffe. Louis Nowra wrote both the screenplay and the 1992 play it was originally based on.

Why was Cosi written?

The follow-up play, Cosi, features Lewis directing mental patients in a version of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte. It was based on the experiences of my 20-year-old self, working with patients in the Mont Park asylum complex in Melbourne. We did a version of Trial by Jury.
